Northern Employment and Business Hub Futures Expo
This week a group of Grade 10 students travelled to George Town to participate in the Northern Employment and Business Hub Futures Expo. Held at the Memorial Hall in George Town, it featured more than 50 exhibitors. Students really enjoyed learning about a diverse range of careers, training and learning opportunities.
Riverside High School students’ positivity and engagement were commended by organisers and exhibitors.
The highlights, besides the sausage sizzle, included workshops from McDonalds regarding entry level positions; Australian Defence Force recruitment; hands on activities in trades such as virtual reality experiences and learning about apprenticeships and further education.
We would like to thank Tania and the team at NEBHUB for putting together an outstanding career expo and helping our students with options and opportunities for their future.
